FRIDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER
Main Game
It’s been a solid day for the team in the Supercars Championship, with both cars showing plenty of speed and potential throughout the sessions. We spent the day trialing a few different setups, gathering valuable data and learning a lot along the way. Car #55 still has some areas to improve, but we’re confident with the direction it’s heading. Car #6 made great progress, and the drivers are keen to put everything together for tomorrow's sessions.
In Practice 1, Cam topped the timesheets, and Tom wasn’t far behind, finishing P4 as both main drivers took to the track. Practice 2 was all about the co-drivers, Moff slotted into P4, while Tyler ended up in P15. By Practice 3, both sets of drivers were swapping in and out of the cars, with Moff and Cam ending P9 and Tyler and Tom taking P6.
The team will be back on track tomorrow at 0955 & 1205 for two more practice sessions, followed by qualifying at 1415 and the Top Ten Shootout at 1725. We’re looking forward to seeing what the day brings!
Dunlop Super 2 Series
In Practice 1, Rylan secured P11, ticking off all the setup tasks the team had planned. Meanwhile, Lochie (P12) and Brad (P9) had a little mishap as Lochie entered the pits, leading to some damage on the front of Brad’s car and the rear of Lochie’s. The team had a bit of work before the next session. For Practice 2, the focus shifted to race pace, and the cars looked strong, showing promising laps with good tyre wear. Towards the end of the session, the team switched to some qualifying simulations, and all three cars felt quick, with Brad leading the pack in P2, while Rylan finished P11 and Lochie wrapped up in P9.
Tomorrow they are back on track with Qualifying for Race 1 at 1130 & Race 1 at 1625
Toyota 86 Series
Despite a challenging day on track, Charlie Nash remains optimistic in the Toyota 86 Series. After finishing P19 in Practice 1, Charlie reflected on the tricky conditions, saying, "First outing for the weekend, there are so many surface changes and you lose the tyres quick here, so just finding my limits." Practice 2 saw him
finish P26, but is eager to put the lessons to use tomorrow.
Charlie will be back in action with qualifying at 0815, followed by Race 1 at 1055 and Race 2 at 1335.
Tyler Everingham - Car #55
“Yeah, day was good, sorta just built up on things. We got a little bit to work on but getting more and more
comfortable the more i’m in the car. Looking forward to tomorrow”
Cam Waters - Car #6
“First day at Sandown complete. Practice 1 was really good, we were the quickest. Moff did an awesome job
in his session. Just trying some stuff through the day to try and get the car a little bit better for a race car,
learned a lot and yeah we’ll put it all together and see how we go tomorrow”
